About Us

El Tacote was established in 2006 under the brainchild of Chef Israel. Chef Israel wanted to fuse his Mexican Heritage and Cooking Skills with premium California Fresh Local Ingredients, Produce and Cheeses. He saw that by doing this, he furthered the lighter and healthier option side of this type of cuisine while focusing on higher quality cuts of meat and seafood. In his experience, Cali-Mex Cuisine showcases the best of what Mexican Cuisine together with California Fresh Ingredients can be.

Our Chef and Founder

Meet Chef Israel. Chef Israel has been cooking and serving Cali-Mex Cuisine for well over two decades. As the former Head Chef for Calamigos Ranch Resort and Spa (a luxury resort in Malibu), Chef Israel knows the rigors of preparing elaborate menus and dishes for guests at large parties and as well as for those smaller intimate private engagements or special soirees.
